I am again completely amazed at the talent and generosity of this guild. I never thought I would see a more beautiful quilt than all the other presidents' quilts, but on October 9th, I was given the most awesome quilt in the world. I want to thank LeAnn Goettel who directed the construction of the quilt as well as the designers, piecemakers, appliquers, basters, quilters, scrap booker, and everyone else involved in this beautiful quilt. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am going to redecorate my sewing room to showcase this extraordinary quilt; so for now is it hanging over my balcony so I can sit and enjoy its beauty.

I would also like to thank Block Party for the Underground Railroad Quilt which will be in a place of honor in my quilt room.

Being your president was a very special event in my life, something that I could never have comprehended doing two years prior. I was very reluctant to take on the job, but I am glad that I did as I will have this past year's memories and a fantastic quilt to remind me of my accomplishment. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
